Most of our jeans have been preshrunk, so they shouldn’t really shrink that much, if at all. We recommend you purchase the size that fits you best before washing. Because they don’t really shrink, they should still fit you fine after washing. To minimize any shrinkage, we suggest you wash your jeans in cold water and line dry.
Shrink-to-Fit™ jeans are made from raw denim and have not been preshrunk. Here is everything you need to know.
- For those who want to machine wash and dry the jeans, we recommend sizing up. For your waist, increase 1" for sizes 27"-36", 2" for 38"-48", and 3" for 50" and up. And for your inseam, increase 3" for sizes 27"-34" and 4" for 36" and up.
- For the old-school technique, buy true to size in the waist and two sizes up in length. Wear them in the tub and keep them on to dry.
- For purists who like their denim unwashed, no need to size up. Buy them true to size. Hang them outside in the sun to keep them fresh.
