The blank Tab is an authentic Levi’s design feature. While some products display the Levi’s® name on the Tab, others intentionally use an unbranded—or “blank”—version. Both are genuine Levi’s items.
Is a blank Tab still authentic Levi’s®?
Yes. The blank Tab is a registered Levi Strauss & Co. trademark and is used on select products by design. Its presence does not indicate a defect, counterfeit, or irregular item.
Why does Levi’s® use a blank Tab?
Levi’s owns the trademark for the distinctive shape of the Tab itself, not just the name printed on it. Using blank Tabs helps protect against imitations and allows for intentional variation across different styles.
